I’m on the Train
A performance based around locational need in a world of mobile communication.
I’m on the Train takes place on the stage, conducted from afar through the audiences’ mobile phones whilst a video provides a consistent backdrop. By controlling the action from a distance, I am able to play on and direct the physical exchanges between audience members, promoting shared actions and real experiences that can be witnessed first hand. Wearing a dress knitted from telephone and modem cables, I am intimately and physically connected into the venue’s communication system from where I control the entire performance.
