A mass swim as part of PILOT Festival in Brightlingsea, all comers experiencing the joy of swimming in open water, project planned by Sidelong. Brightlingsea has a lido. It faces out to sea and with only a small stretch of the imagination, you can swim out into the sea in your mind. Supported by the Outdoor Swimming, Association, The PILOT Swim was a mass participation event, where people from far and wide, from Outdoor Swimming Clubs and the artists involved in PILOT Festival, joined together to swim and enjoy the water as the sun set over the town. Sidelong (artists Abi Cunliffe and Caroline Wright) coordinated the swim, putting the swimmers through a series of exercises which were captured visually by Pash Baker and Rob White in a collection of evocative underwater photographs. www.pilotfestival.co.uk take-two-brightlingsea-website-logos
