Breath Drawings

A series of performances to camera illustrating different ways to visualise breath. Blowing into water, breathing onto ice to make it melt, making patterns on a thin layer of flour, the photographs create a portfolio of airy drawings. This work was made soon after a residency in a speech therapy department where the effects of inefficient breathing on effective speech and by association, successful communication was evident.
