A performance triptych exploring human communication.
Conversations with Friends uses video, performance and sound to explore the physical and philosophical act of communication between two people. The one to one piece takes the audience on a journey, asking them to consider their right to reply, the hierarchy between conversants and the body language that evidences unspoken responses. During the performance the artist captures a moment of exchange with each member of the audience photographically, using her mouth as a pinhole camera. First perfomed at home, London in a three storey Victorian house, Conversations with Friends toured to InBetween Time Festival, Bristol.
